Humanitarian Relief Aid The CWS humanitarian relief aid activities include the distribution of blankets and mosquito nets to poor primary school students who must live away from home to attend school. Most of these students are in ethnic minority boarding schools. These blankets and mosquito nets help keep the students warm and healthy when they are living away from home and help reduce the numbers of school drop-outs. CWS also provides emergency humanitarian relief when disasters strike in the Lao PDR. In recent years CWS has responded to flood and other natural disasters.
